That's it. I'm out. (for now)

The thing with copyright is it's still a very grey area, but there are certain things that are quite clear-cut. If you create something (regardless if it's writing, graphics or music) you by default have the copyrights to it. This is loosely named "creative copyright". You can't give up rights...

    I sure will. (glad)

Name one thing that you added to your MV Project today

Haven't done too much to my project because of work, but I did finish my Map/Compass HUD plugin and started on the Karma one. Also finished the first Stonehenge map.

    Glowing Mirrors

Absolutely love these. As @LTN Games said, they'd particularly be good in horror games. I may have a use for them in _Otherworld_ instead of my own "portal" design.

    Forest (RTP Edit)

I rather like these, especially the last one. Kind of atmospheric.

    hello

Hi, Scott, and welcome. I decided to move my Ace project to MV as well. But this is a GREAT community and we'll all help as and when we can.

    Tiny World

Been secretly following this. I love retro. It puts me back into those "innocent" old days where this was the trend. I remember those days very fondly as well.

    Complexity of the game

This is something similar to what I'm working with in Otherworld. The complexity isn't so much in the dialogue itself, but in the choices you make as the player, and the actions and interactions with NPCs. Those factors influence how others will react, how certain choices affect the game...

Have you guys seen the "Google Translate Sings" videos?

I've seen a few of these and they're HILARIOUS! My favorite is "Frozen".

    Switchs dont recognise each other

Usually in your event to change the trap door, set the switch trigger to "Autorun". Doesn't work with self-switches. Edit: Double Ninja'd.

    Hello?

Hi Oliver. This is the friendliest forum online, so if you have any questions we'll answer them. Friendlily of course! (smile)

Name one thing that you added to your MV Project today

Yeah, kinda. There's no such thing as TRUE random, hence "truly" was in quotes. I have to add more "sample" images to test it out more, but it seems to work adequately enough. This particular formula is loosely based on a RNG for something else entirely. Computers are deterministic and will...

Name one thing that you added to your MV Project today

Added a float/blur effect to the main character on the Title Screen and also "truly" randomized which character appears each load (I just can't seem to leave it alone). Also converted the Map/Compass HUD I did for previous RPG Makers, plus added a few extra features that only MV can afford. No...

    How do you commute?

@Bizarre Monkey That really IS stunning! We had a chance to travel on the Vanvouver Skytrain (we were planning a two-week getaway to Vancouver). We'd saved up for MONTHS for a trip. Unfortunately, circumstances prevailed and we couldn't do it.

    How do you commute?

@Bizarre Monkey THAT is the way to travel!! I'm a sucker for high vistas!

    Do you like maths

One of my maths teachers (actually a temp, but the BEST by far) taught the class a few tricks with the 9 times table, the 11 times table, and a few other "tricks". I've never forgotten them. Or him!

My Stonehenge is done! Got halfway through painstakingly making it only to realise the program I use already had a template! Go figure!

Name one thing that you added to your MV Project today

Finally managed to finish the Title Screen animation (notwithstanding the bugs still in the menu). Started reworking the intro and finished the first few maps, including a rather cool-looking Stonehenge. (I started painstakingly placing all the dolmens and sarsens in place, got halfway through...

    Do you like maths

Personally I hate maths. I can add, subtract, etc. (mostly in my head), but anything beyond that forget it! When it comes to algebraic equations, x + y = z might as well be the same as milk + chalk = yech! Haha!
