Open New Tab for Download Now for 'External Links'

What I like about people who upload their resources directly to hear, is that I get to STAY on RMMV Forums. I have noticed that when it is an external site linked to the [Download Now], I get redirected to that site, and am taken away from here. Is there a way to may the external link related download resources open in a new tab, instead of redirection?

I'm not sure if there's a way to make that happen automatically, but it's worth checking, @Xyphien.

For now, you can try right clicking on the download button and selecting Open Link in New Tab from your options.

After a while, I did start doing that... :) , but I forget sometimes.

Ahahaha, that's quite alright! It's something I'd thought about as well, especially with images.

I've looked into this prior, and sadly it is something the addon we have does not support currently. I agree, it would be an amazing feature, and seems pretty simple to add, but as of now there isn't an option to do so.

That is one reason, I REALLY, REALLY appreciate when members upload directly to here. I have to remember to disable web acceleration for Mediafire and other image hosting sites, to download larger files.
