Ok, I'm feeling a little silly posting this, seeing the amount of awesome OTHER showcase things, but this is our first "real game", made my myself and young son, using pretty much the default data, with only the Wordwrap plugin added in.
Notes:
- It's short, takes about 10 minutes, if that, once you know what you are doing.
- It is horribly unbalanced.
- Get the equipment upgrades, and boom, Hero = OverPowered!
- Drink until mage lvl 10+ = WIN!)
-It has little-to-none character development and story.
-But, it is ours.
-It is also a springboard to a "sequel" of much longer and deeper gameplay. :)

Made pretty much from scratch or minor edits to pre-loaded ones. We used this to learn the engine, and play around with "What can you do? ..ooh, neat you can do this!"

Feedback and lots of suggestions for the next REAL game in progress are welcome and wanted!

Is this your first game? I will give you feedback on what I was able to play, not so much on the story because well there really was not one due to testing purposes . I enjoyed your town map, it looked really good the only thing that bothered me was the road, I just feel like that tile is more of a sidewalk but that's probably more of a personal thing lol. You did a great job on making the Pub look nice, the map was not too big and not too small, you did a good job filling in the map. I don't want to give too much feedback considering it was a game of fun and learning and you already know of the parts you need to work on, so all I can say now is good work, keep it up :)

Also that pub is awsome, I spent a good minute drinking there, I even took a screenshot for memory sake lol.

Thanks. Yep, first game, on any RPGMaker version. (I technically had VX Ace Lite, but never managed to get a coherent "anything" finished.) So this is my first REAL game, even though it is just really a demo to learn stuff myself.

The town was a pre-loaded map, we just tweaked a few things. It's a packaged Map from the game, so I can't take credit for the Town looking so cool. I just made the house map, and the "world map" by hand. There's a lot of silly little things just to see how the Events work, such as that Pub, and the "slime monster Storm" switch, and stuff. Glad you liked it.
One bug I can't solve is that after "Winning" it is supposed to teleport you to a fourth map, of a seaside beach. You "retire" there, at the end, but the battle processing isn't porting you there currently. Unsure why.

However, it was fun to whip this up last night (and the night before after perusing the Help Files ad infinitum), just to see if it works! It worked!

OK, supercool update. it's sloppy proof-of-concept art, but now the Boss Monster shows when he is getting weakened. at 50%, the Ogre is starting to look bloodied a bit. at 15% he's a bit worse off, with broken horns and dark bruising all over!
I'm planning on using this feature for Every enemy now... once I make a real game with custom art! woot, it worked!!
How did I do that, you ask? Hint: it involves Enemy-Transform event in the Troop-BattleEvents area. ;) and technically three different "Ogre" enemies.

yeah, I realized I ... or more likely the kid... burned through our data storage in like a week. Will be posted by tomorrow, I got it upgraded now, but am at work and can't re-post them at the moment. Sorry about that!!
Furiously focused on our larger game, which is becoming problematic too. Feature Creep, argh! :D
