What is Welcome 99?
Welcome 99 is a sci-fi RPG set in the world of SCALFs (Smart Cognizant Alloy Life Format). 99 is a Scalf, and cannot turn; the only option is to move forward, and use elevators or get on mobile floor tracks to change directions. M1001 may have a solution, but that requires 99 to get promoted to 500. The first step to getting promoted to 500, is to BECOME 100. Sclafs work in a very competitive Working environment. The only way to get promoted is to relieve the next higher ranked Scalf of its duties. When relieved of its duties, it simply takes over the duties of the Scalf that defeated it.
It is not just a take over the next level Scalf quest. There is dialogue; there is learning from seasoned Scalfs that made mistakes, and hope you learn from them. There is something else occurring, everybody can feel it. Will 99 face entities others than Scalfs? Why is M1001 so concerned about 99 making it to 500? That would take 400 Scalfs to demote. What twists and turns will 99 meet?
