I'm primarily a writer but trying to branch out into the graphics side of things. Here's my first attempt at a tileset for RMMV!

Looking forward to participating in the community to the best of my ability.

That's because writing and drawing are the best. I like your tileset by the way it's original and has it's own style. I'm glad you joined our forums and hope to see you around and to share your creations. Have fun (puppy eyes)

Yeah I've been trying new things lately also, it's fun to break away from the normal stuff. (cool)

Looks nice so far, still a little rough like you've said above but still not bad.
How were these created?

A lot of the tiles are adapted from open source clipart and then worked through in Paint.NET. There's a little bit of original pixel painting in there as well. When I'm making games I'm usually pretty satisfied with the wall tiles but I always want more stuff to put on the walls and I thought why not put this out there in case someone else can use it in a project. Later today I'm hoping to get up some stained glass tiles as well.

What I'd be careful of is perspective. Keep in mind that RM typically uses a 45-degree angle to show its tiles, not straight-on.

Welcome to the forums man, I'm sure that your graphics could be nice for a side-scrolling game! Keep up the work, as everyone has different ideas on what they want in their games.
