I recently tried it and it is great, you can resize your pixels without changing its shape or pixel, you can auto smooth your pixel, animate, select pixels by layer, change a color on a canvas to another color, write pixelated text that looks clearer than in non-pixel art software. I love it so...

I am so bad at parallax, pixel arts and stuff right now... Oh well at least someone appreciate it (glee). And really, you look like you're going in the right direction, and since you point that you're still new at lighting, I recommend to experiment with it a little bit and get jiggy with it. (glad)

I can already see it is improving, the hole gap on the bottom left is smaller ( which is better in my opinion) and the new walls on some of the buildings make it looks a lot better.
