    Elemental Skills Discussion

Regarding elements themselves, the standard eight aren't necessary. The way i see it, there tend to be 5 working types of element systems Basic - these are your starter pokemon elements, water earth and fire. Simple - This is when you throw in one more piece, like thunder or wind. Standard -...

    Bad/Overly-Ambitious Game Ideas

Let me tell you a story about my attempted first game, The Four Fundamentally, if this game were to be made it would NOT be made in RMMV, but seeing as how it was the only program avaliable to me (on free trial, mind you) i tried to use it. It taught me a LOT of hard lessons about making games...

    Elemental Skills Discussion

Personally, I enjoy going with an "establish and evolve" method. Lets say your first fire type skill is a simple skill, Flame Deals minor fire damage to one target Then, you step it up with Fireball Moving onto Flameblast Then, since its in a skill tree and people will know what the...

    Game Music

The website " BeepBox " is an incredibly faithful emulator of the NES soundchip, so I usually use that for creating my own tunes. If Im going to find music, my go-to is the Newgrounds Audio Portal. Just drop a message to those creators of awesome songs, 90% of them are happy to let you use...

    Good Motivation Advice

I'm in the middle of making my first game, and it feels very very difficult at times. I get tired of working on parts of the game, ill move onto another area, and ill still feel tired and bogged down. Being a no name dude just wanting to make game in his free time really makes me worry that when...

This is my first attempt making music! Since I grew up playing the NES, this is my attempt at 8-bit tunes! Feel free to use the songs, just give me credit please :) Also, i'd very much appreciate any constructive criticism! Listen to the songs right here!

    Need opinions/critiques

These sound very good! I love the mixture of simplistic leads with more complex drums to back them up! However, BattleLoopz's lead is a little bit overpowering of everything else. Reaaaallllyyyy interested in this project just from the music, shoot me a pm if you want some help with the game!

    Brainstorming CRAZY Skills and Weapons

Wow, very interesting concept! I think this could also work for a weapon with very high attack stats, but "tires out" the user, dropping their DEF, ATK, and AGI over time. I have been toying with this, and would like to implement it, but it's turning out to be VERY difficult to keep it...
