    Hi

Hi everyone. I forgot to make an intro thread when I signed up. Anyways, here it is. RM History I've been using RPG Maker since 2012. How I got into it was because there was an argument on one of the forums about how "encrypting your resources makes you look weak" or something like that and I...

Are you concerned about securing your assets in browser games?

With the browser demo, one thing is clear: by default there is probably not much in terms of security for your assets. What does this mean for you as a developer? People can take your graphics People can take your audio People can take your scripts People can take your fonts People can take...

    Show Choices, Improved!

I'm assuming Windows Background is the same as in your messages: normal, dim, transparent.

    Auto-Pathing

That issue is particularly strange. I don't know how the pathfinding algorithm works, but if you stretched the resolution from 824x416 to 1920x1080 (effectively, displaying the entire map), and you start from one corner and click the other corner, the pathfinding works fine. However, if you...

Just throwing this out there but I'm voting for a kitty mascot.

What can you do with a loading screen?

So if you've played the browser demo on the pre-order page, you'll notice that there's this "Now Loading" screen. This screen is used whenever the game is fetching data from wherever. It also means that you could potentially have a loading screen whenever you want, such as when you're trying to...

    Show Choices, Improved!

You may be aware that in XP, VX, and Ace, the show choices command only came with a maximum of 4 choices. Well, that has been improved in MV. Take a look (pulled from StephenPlay's 2-hour video) Of course, there are still only 6 choices, and it is not too clear what kind of support they have...

What to do about those "Black Borders"

You know when you go full-screen in previous RM's you get these "black borders" on your monitor? I think I've found a solution for MV.

    MV wikia

Shaz is compiling a FAQ for MV http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/45896-rpg-maker-mv-faq/ We can update the wiki with this information.

Team Sharing / Team Cooperation now available!

RM doesn't have git version control. Rather, you can use git to to version control RM, just like how you can use other version control systems. There isn't really anything stopping you from version controlling previous RM projects. People just didn't do it because "it's all binary!"

    MV wikia

    Yes, it's really out-of-date.

    MV wikia

I put together an RMMV wikia http://rmmv.wikia.com/wiki/RPG_Maker_MV_Wikia The idea was to add information about MV such as links to tutorials, scripts, and so on. If anyone would like to contribute feel free to do so.

Pokemon Style game with the Bestiary plugin

I would be interested in providing functionality that allows you to begin to build pokemon-style games. It wouldn't be a pokemon starter kit directly, but if others are interested in providing additional scripts for it that's something we can put together.

Would it be useful to have a chat room somewhere? I see them on some other forums.

Team Sharing / Team Cooperation now available!

The data is provided in plain-text as opposed to serialized binary, so it should be easier to use version control software. Not that it wasn't possible before anyways. I haven't looked at the video so I don't know if they're referring to some sort of special "collaboration features" bundled...
