How about a contest that allows members to show off their creativity and design a banner for the website?

Yes, I was thinking specific badges. Perhaps through a nomination system or through forum contests.

Maybe a badge for contributions? eg: sprites, scripts, music, tutorials, etc.

What about strictly MV resources? Or at least, a good majority? If there was a lot of other resources visitors may be disappointed when they find that it's mostly non-MV stuff.
