You sure can, just make your base map then save as image, open in photoshop or gimp or whatever, set your grid to 48X48 and start placing tiles in that bad boy. Though I have been practicing with MVs extra layer, well more like the infinite layer B group, and I may skip out on parallax mapping...

I don't know if you can do it random but this is what you would be looking for in the event structure. The tint screen just makes the room darker, the flash screen literally creates a flash and the wait command waits 20 frames before proceeding to the next flash. Be sure to set to set the event...

I attempted using this plugin myself, and yes It does not give clear details on how to use this properly. If I figure anything out I'll be back.

I found a gamepad plugin, but it does not have the option of changing the directional buttons from analog stick. Gamepad Config

They are notetags, so throw them in your notes section and see if it helps anything.

I think I found a way to really make this piece of software that much better, if I do, I will make a tutorial and be back to post it here.
