Yo! So, there's this big green box up top, yeah?

I think it's a good idea for directing new members, but could we get a bit of the list taken off? The only three things on the list I really think we need are the Upload Avatar, Update Profile, and Introduce Yourself bullets.

Set RM Skill doesn't work for the people who aren't sure what they're doing yet, some people don't like having signatures, so Add Signature isn't ideal, Join the Discussion! seems to only work if you want to post a topic rather than respond(?), and Share Your WIP Game.... well, not everyone has, or is going to have one.

I mean, I've been here since October. I feel like I should be more than 80% complete xD.

Yeah, I was here since the beginning, I find it annoying that i'm 70% a new user.
1) I don't want a sig
2) I already posted in MV talk before..? If I didn't, I don't want to now.
3) I don't have a WIP game.

Yea I agree on this, I never realized it was not hidable and mandatory. I would recommend making all other steps optional except for what Amy said, Avatar, Update Profile & Introduce yourself. If it's possible make it so you can hide it, or collapse it. Other than all that, I think it's a great idea.

I'm all with Amy there. I have already mentioned it to @Xyphien and @LTN Games, the box would probable annoy most people and turn them away rather then encourage them to do what is asked. Like an annoying tutorial you don't really want to go through.

Lol I'm 80 % too but I don't feel like posting sth into mv talk. Idk about the signature since it isn't that important but the wip game and a few other things mentioned are a bit unnecessary, or you could atleast turn this thing off if you're here for a little longer than a few days or it really gets annoying if you don't feel like you need to do the tasks written there. And guys, wow, you posted like three or four new messages while i was writing this you're so active today :D i agree with @Jackus btw

That is what is always used to be like, how do you think I got to 1200 messages in 2months. It's fun when it's active like this.

This is a good idea as well, if you have 10 messages you get the option of turning it off or something similar. I still think being able to collapse it will save many headaches by the users.

@LTN Games this is just perfect, turn it off if you have like 8-10 messages automatically. Lol I didn't knew you got that like this (the messages) XD but well i feel like the whole forum activity is happening when I'm asleep bc timezones but well :D like it too if it's this active. A possibility to collapse the beginner tut thing would be a great thing too since I'm using the mobile version and have to scroll like a whole lot more with the tut XD didn't see it in the computer mode yet

It really depends on how the plugin/app/whatever it is works. Having it collapsable may or may not actually be an option. ^^

It is a bit of a pain, lol. The only thing I had to do on it was post a WIP game so I put my idea up a bit earlier than originally planned. Reducing it to three items would be nice.

Props to @Amysaurus for raising concerns about this situation and I'm as well annoyed to see that a Signature and Posting WIP Games are obligatory. Also, I love the idea from Jackus, as every tutorials (so the Account Setup as well) being skipable if possible.

Yeah, it was a bit of an eyesore, lol. Mostly because it was at the top of the page. And thanks, lol, @Rise Evil.

Remember guys: if you've got a concern, it's important that you let us know! Otherwise we can't change it - unfortunately staff members can't read minds (yet).

Ok till next problem occurs every staff member (or atleast every dinosaur) will be able to read minds so nevermind what i just said XD

If it's a more personal issue: problems with a member, problems accessing something, then I would recommend contacting a staff member directly. :)

That's a really great suggestion and advice here. You trully are a great moderator like LTN Games. I give you high respect for your outstanding work ^^

I've fixed a lot of this, thank you all for voicing your opinions. However, there is a jack of all trades section for the RM Skill which can be easily set for people who are unsure about what they're currently the best at (I don't even know if I'm actually good at anything lol). So that will be staying, the rest of the stuff such as WIP, Signature, etc. has been removed.

Ahhh, but that assumes they are, in fact, aware that they're good at many things! I'm just thinking about the people who are just starting out, lol. That's fine, though.
