"One summer night, I couldn't sleep.

My thoughts were storming inside my mind.
Everything I tried to do to settle down was in vain; precious slumber eluded me.

But then...

...A tiny dragonfly landed on my windowsill. It took refuge from the summer heat in my humble home.
The dragonfly seemed to glow in unearthly colors. Just looking at it soothed me.
It looked at me as if it understood me; as if it wanted to tell me something.
Slowly, at long last, I fell asleep. A deep, peaceful healing sleep.
... I started to dream..."

Dragonfly night is a game unlike any other game I've seen developed for any RPG Maker game. This is a game in progress that is designed to soothe frayed nerves. To calm fever-pitched emotions. To relax even the most tense of people.

DISCLAIMER - Dragonfly Night is NOT an RPG - END DISCLAIMER

-A completely custom soundtrack written by yours truly (featuring some of the RM community's best talent as guest composers)
- Completely hand-drawn levels, worlds and graphics
-Easy but fun gameplay and puzzles
-A light story
- Rich and soothing ASMR
-Sidescrolling platformer-type areas and levels!
-Unlockable goodies!
-A World and Level system! Similar to many Super fun platformers of the late 80's-early 90's
Why "Dragonfly Night?"
About two years ago, horrible tragedies befell my family; one after the other. Despite the fact that the circumstances were improving, I had gotten so stressed from it all that my body started to break down and shut down. My immune system was weakened, walking became a chore... having enough energy to get through the day was almost moot.

So I realized that I had to find ways to relax. I had a dream that I saw a dragonfly spirit coming to grant me restful sleep; I was so fascinated by the creature. It glowed like a desert sunrise: Blues, purples, oranges, reds.
That dream made me want to create a game like this back then but I didn't know how.I was still too new to RPG Maker, my game engine of choice.

Some time later, I came upon a youtube channel called "Relaxajin", a channel solely dedicated to relaxation and ASMR. Lo and behold, there's an entire genre of relaxing, unwinding, slow-paced and ambient games. Osmos... Dear Esther, Nightsky, Proteus, Zenbound, The Undergarden...

Seeing those adorable and very soothing games inspired me to want to create my own. But what would I theme it to? The answer was in the dream I had had. When it all comes down to it, I wanted to develop Dragonfly Night because someone else might be in need of a little lifting up; a little relaxation and calm.
It's been a joy composing the music for the game (which is sadly all I have to show at the moment) and developing it maps and levels. I've been so relaxed while doing it that I wanted to share it with the world.
As I make more visual progress, I will post it here. Join me as I develop a cathartic and relaxing, ambient game. Thank you for your time.

Is there a xylophone and harp in both "Go With the Flow" and "Wait for Midnight"? If I selected the wrong instruments, please correct me. :)
