Epic Battle Help

Epic Battle Help.jpg

Okay so it's been awhile since I've done eventing, and I want to know if there is an easier way to have both of the groups of events clash without having to put movement paths for each event. This is suppose to be the first big battle in the game between the two sides. Above is a picture of what it looks like. The arrows are pointing toward the point in which I want both sides to clash.

Hello, sorry for not being able to answer your question, however I will be moving your topic to the correct section. The Feedback, Suggestions, and Help section is for the forum, not for the game. I have moved this to the correct location to help you get the help you need.

Do you have it set where a certain group will automatically battle another certain group when the two sides collide?

I originally had it so that when the Player Collided or Touched the NPC directly in front of them that a random battle would occur. Once to battle ended, the player would be transfered to an identical map with the sprites scattered and some with death animations and another random battle would occur. After the second random battle the Boss would go through some dialog with the main character and the battle would begin where they would fight a losing battle.

I can envision using two parallax maps, having one side on a map, and the other side being on a separate map. Having it where map one has group one moving towards the right, and map two has the other group moving towards the left. When the two groups collide, battle occurs. Another possibility is to have each group represented as pictures, and have events move the pictures towards each other.

I have also thought of what you have said you desire not wanting to do, have each character, on both sides, go through a series of movement routes.
