Feedback for New Years Theme 2016

Apologies if this was made already and I missed it >.<

I like the new theme a lot, but the only thing is... I feel like the blue part is a little too bright on the Dark version (I think it's Dark anyway, didn't check to see if this was an entirely new theme), it kinda hurts my eyes and is really distracting from other content. mainly the blue in the forum titles (the big blue bars).

Great job on the logo and the fireworks effects, love how my name is blue now! maybe if you can make it a little darker or something?

also the little party popper thing on MV-tan is adorable hehe

Have to agree about the blue, looks too bright in my opinion. The page also seems sluggish when scrolling down as well. Nice idea though..

I love it it's really cute. I dont have problems with the blue being too bright tho but I can understand since the contrast to the dark is really big. But new year is colorful, isnt it XD?

I have a problem on the mobile version though since the site turns suddenly bigger with the firework and its randomly. Its not a problem but it looks a bit strange. However, this might be annoying or not but since its only for one day people can live with it XD the new costum icons and logos are very cute

I like it. It fulfills the blue theme request, by one of our members. I like watching the fireworks popping, on the sides. It gives the eyes and brain something new to focus on. I miss seeing our mascot, but I know she will be back shortly.

Besides the mobile issues, my only real complaint with this theme is that the MV in the banner and the other text don't look 100% great together (the fade-to-dark gradient right next to the neon glow is kind of wonky, visually). The blue works, since the army of staring MV-tans was removed from the read/unread content icons. With just a palette swap alone the colors wouldn't have worked together.

Overall, pretty nice.

I personally like the high contrast of the blue. As for a design choice, it's not so great but I still like it a lot. I find everything easier to read in the community with it on.

Thank you for making this post, I normally make this post with every release, but I was extremely busy today and was unable to make it. So you helped me out a lot! Thank you all for voicing your opinions. I'm glad for the most part you all like the theme overall, I know a lot of you said it is too bright of a blue, but I figured why not have it stand out a bit for one day. As stated it is new year's afterall lol. I also know @Amysaurus is a bit disappointed that it isn't a Halloween theme (Sorry Amy).

Amy already mentioned the mobile issues. And I must say, I think they should not be fixed. Adds to the charm of the forum. I also like how I have similar issues on my computer where a small scrollbar appears on the bottom of the browser window whenever the fireworks go off on the right of the screen. Hooray for small screens! :D
Also, the "MV" in the banner kinda makes we wanna sing "Under the Sea" because it looks a little oceanic to me with the blue, the lines resembling seaweed and the star basically being a starfish. Other than that, it's okay I'd say. Nothing too fancy, not too distracting and just a little easier on your eyes than the dark theme I usually use. :)

Oh yeah true, it is only for one day. for some reason I kinda forgot that part xD i guess it didn't register because I was so tired. Didn't want to sound like i didn't appreciate the work you put into it though. it's awesome!

that said, I would love some sort of permanent blue-ish theme in the future ^_^ Blue is awesome

@Xyphien Yea definitely not trying to be a downer, I love an active admin. The New Years idea was very creative.

As @MinisterJay said before, a leader that tries new things and keeps things fresh is the best kind, so I'd say you are doing a great job here! ^_^
