Hello everyone, my name is Travis (gamertag Hypnosiix). I joined this community to get a feel for the free support available for newbs.

I saw RPGMaker MV on sale and have read a lot of reviews and done a lot of research into it and it seems like a fun hobby to pick up. I've always wanted to make video games but never really had the knowledge or skills to develop a game from the ground up. This seems to make it easy to create some wonderful classic RPGs to share or sell to the community. I am starting with very little knowledge and just want to know what some of the other inexperienced users have thought about this software?

Is it worth it? do you enjoy it? is there a lot of support available to you? What was the learning curve like?

Anyways, I'll appreciate all your responses and it's nice to be a part of the community.

Welcome aboard! I think you'll have a blast with MV. I've been tinkering with RPG Maker for years. I love the community, there is always someone who is eager to help. Since you're just starting in on the fun, I highly recommend getting Starbird's tileset package. It opens up world's of potential in your creative endeavors. Any time you have questions or get stuck on something, feel free to post your queries & someone will be there for you. There are tons of free resources available. I look forward to seeing what you create.
