Hey guys,

I'm Matt, I'm a weird Irish guy doing a Computer Science degree who also happens to spend half my life playing games, so I decided that I should spend the other half on a forum about a game.

I have to admit that I have zero knowledge or experience with RPG Maker, but I always see it on Twitch and YouTube. So when I found out that the great and powerful Xyphien (Praise be his name) has a forum dedicated to it I should check it out.

I'm not even sure what I can contribute here but I have some experience in design, and I'm currently dong a Computer Science degree so I'm hoping that I can get into the swing of things and help with some programming if needed.

So yeah, that's me.

Hi @Gytix , and welcome to the community. The beautiful thing about RPG Maker MV is that you can do a lot with just the core engine. Did you learn a little JavaScript within your degree program?

That's my next core module for September, currently I've done quite a bit of Python and C++. A lot of my course has focused on practical web applications and web design. Next semester is when the more hands on user orientated stuff comes into play.

I'm currently about to start downloading everything I need, I think a couple of hours of messing around with it will give me a better understanding of what I can use it for and what I can use my skills for.

Yeah man, you gotta stop making sites.. I only have so many hours in each day to post on them all.

Judging by how clueless I am so far with RPG Maker and everything else, I'll most likely have a lot of dumb questions!
