In a spirit of participation, and also of wishing to learn from the ways of others, I've decided to go through the Demo section of the Forum, and give them each a decent run. First Disclaimer: I'm an old, retired IT bloke, and absolutely hopeless at playing games of any sort, but especially video games..! Nevertheless (and maybe with the assistance of our youngest for the harder parts...), I'll gamely (sorry; couldn't resist... :-( ) try them out, and probably give some sort of feedback as to my thoughts on each. Second Disclaimer: I've little to no experience with the genre, and any reactions will be that of an old fogey, out of his depth, and so will surely not be of great significance. I'm very far from any 'target market' for these things, and have absolutely no idea as to current (or even past..!) trends in this realm. Please be kind in the reception of any perceived harshness; put it down to total ignorance on my part, please.
No particular order, and probably ongoing over a period of several weeks (health permitting; it doesn't always...) I'll post something about my impressions. Semi-pro, absolute beginner, custom graphics or standard tilesets; I'll see how they inspire me as a Candide observer.
