Importing Music?

Ok so im lost...how do i import music into RPG Maker MV. i know it takes different files now but i cant get any of my music to show up even if i change the file type. anyone know how to fix this?

P.S. Sorry if i this question is already up ^^;

You should be able to copy and paste it into your game's project folder (Game -> Open Folder -> Audio -> BGM) and see it in your project. What kind of file type are you using?

(I'm no audio expert so excuse my dumb questions, lol)

I know for sure .mp3 files don't show up in MV's sound test, but the .m4a files should be working for you. I believe there's a specific type of .m4a file (AAC, I think) that MV accepts, so it may be that the .m4a tracks are simply the wrong type. Your best bet would be trying to convert the audio files to .ogg or AAC .m4a (Audacity can at least do .ogg, iirc) and trying to add them to the project folder once again.

It could be something as simple as adding the audio files while your project is closed, then restarting MV, though. It may just be the editor being finicky.
