Hey, I’m a software engineer with 5+ years of experience, and I’m looking to join a game development team.

I’m not looking for pay — just real experience working on a game with others.

Most of my background is in writing solid, maintainable code and solving practical problems. I haven’t shipped a game yet, but I pick things up fast. I know the basics of Godot and GDScript, and I’m currently learning Unity as well.

I’m especially interested in gameplay programming, but I’m open to helping wherever I’m needed.

I’d like work with a serious team trying to actually build and finish something, even if it’s small.

What I can bring:
  • Strong programming fundamentals
  • Clean, readable code
  • Reliability (I don’t disappear mid-project)
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
What I’m looking for:
  • Indie / rev-share team
  • People who are actively working, not just planning
  • A chance to contribute and learn by doing
If you’re working on something and need a developer, feel free to reach out.

Respect for wanting to finish something with other people instead of endless solo planning. One thing that helped me before joining anyone: ship a tiny personal Godot slice first, even a one-mechanic prototype with a web export, so you have a concrete feel for GDScript scenes, input, and export pain. Teams notice that more than a long skill list.

Gameplay programming is a good door if you already write maintainable code; just be ready that early indie teams need someone who will also chase bugs and polish, not only greenfield systems. If you have a short sample scene or a public web build, lead with that when you DM.

Good luck. Finishing a small game with others is worth the search.
