Hello, I'm just a lone designer/developer based out of Kentucky in the good ole US of A. I've been using Unity and GameMaker Studio for a while now and just ran across RPG Maker on accident. It seems like a great program but I'll decide more later. I handle all of my own assets normally but I have found some great ones on here and may use some but for now I'm just playing around with what comes with MV. If anyone wants to say hey I'm online most of them time and always willing to chat about game making in general. I have a game on the Play Store that was created with Unity, but its absolutely atrocious, lol, however it was started as a tutorial on my Twitch broadcast and became a complete game. Hoping to learn enough about RPG Maker to start a tutorial broadcast as well. I love helping people out with anything.

Welcome T Berry to the land of RPG Maker. I left the two engines you mentioned because they did not do what I needed them to do, and that is good ole RPG's. Welcome to the community. Looking forward to seeing you around.

I enjoy both Unity and GameMaker but I use them for different things. Unity only recently started supporting making 2D games but its still way behind GM:S in terms of ease of use. So I use Unity for 3D games(I tried using Unreal, and its nice but a little more complicated, still play around with it though) and GM:S for my 2D sidescrollers and things like that and I'm gonna use RPGMMV for RPGs. Right now I'm working on making a complete set of Steampunk tiles for RPGMMV for a game I've had in my head for a few years.
