Ok, so I looked around and couldn't find the specific numbers, perhaps one of you pros could help me! I want to make tiles in PS and put them into my game. I'm trying to make light tiles (3 wide by 4 down) but when I put them in my game the selector only lets me pick a portion of the image I created. What are the height and width I should be saving my files under? I've tried a few numbers I've found online but with no success.
Thank you in advance <3

Which tileset are you trying to make? Each type has a specific dimension, and particular tilesets have specific rules.

As MJ has mentioned each tileset is different in size especialy when dealing with autotiles, you should check the help file in MV for more detials on tilesets.

I was trying to make the 3 wide by 4 long tile sets to make lights for lamps, windows, etc. I tried to just copy a file that I already had in the game that works and is the same size but when I do the "save as" after my edits it still won't work.

What are the pixel dimensions of the tileset? What is the original file name before modification/adding the new images? What are you saving it as? In the map editor, are you adding the new tileset to the available options?

I think I know what you mean, you're attempting to use an image file of whatever size it's cropped too? I would recommend duplicating one of the current tilesets and opening that in photoshop, then proceeding to edit that one as you like, removing tiles you don't want and adding in the tiles you are trying to use. Then renaming it to whatever you like and saving it in the tileset folder.
