Tree Critique

Not sure if this is the place to put this, but I wanted to get some feedback on some trees I am making.

The trees on each end are the default ones that came with the editor. I know my pixel style is far from the original painted style of the RTP, I was just looking to see which one you like better. A, B, or C? The grass is custom made, as is the walking path. After choosing a tree, can you give a little explanation as to why you chose that one? I personally like B, because of the rich brown saturation, but I do not think I have enough contrast... On another note, I do plan on sharing these after I smooth them out a bit and add leaves.

I like C and B the best out of these. (smile)

B has a nice color scheme to it, while C has the best contrast against the grass and a more realistic shadow. I think the darker shades on tree C make it just a bit too dark. The main issue with A is that the lack of contrast and a shadow make it look like it's part of the ground.

Nice work!

Wow, these look really nice! They would be perfect in a creepy forest. :D C is my favorite, since it has a great spooky look to it. it fits right into this haunted forest I'm imagining lol. you could even stick a face on it and make it a creepy evil living tree!

great job overall with these, I'm impressed! hope to see more soon~

Thanks guys for the quick reply, I think I am leaning a little toward C as well. A Spooky Forest might be something I could consider when making my tiles haha could be fun. I don't really have a theme yet, but sitting these next to the default tiles and I realize I may have to re-create most of the B tiles to fit my style... yikes!

I would like B & C, shadow free. There is just something about trees without shadows. Custom shadows can be added, or if it is a dark gloomy forest, the shadows do not have to be removed.

I'm liking the pixel work here, it looks fantastic actually. I love the way pixel art looks, and after listening to @Kaimen 's 8-bit music it makes me want to create a small pixel game.
