Typos

Typos. we all make 'em... sometimes they are downright awful, and others they are awful...and funny. I try to laugh at my typos, but it's super annoying when I see one in a story I've written. I rarely proofread anything because I'm too lazy to read what I wrote (lol) but on the off-chance I do go back... I'll usually find at least 1 mistake.

so basically, discuss your typos here.

Made an especially awful typo today? share it with us. remember a typo of the past? we wanna know!

Anyway, here's one I just found in my story:

I smiled and remembered the picture from I had taken town from the shelves

How did that.... even HAPPEN? I have the wackiest typos sometimes when I'm writing, since I don't actually pay attention to what I type. it's kind of like... I'm just experiencing what I'm writing, so... I can't just stop and look at the words I guess, since it gets me out of the mode.

OK, please don't make me feel like I'm the only one who makes silly mistakes! share yours too~

also, you can totally share autocorrect fails here as well, since that's... technically a typo, I guess?

I have a love-hate relationship with typos. I think the best (or worst) one I ever made was with the word "whether". I missed out the first H. Imagine my horror when someone pointed out that "wether" actually means "a castrated (male) sheep or goat"! Ahem!

Hmm... typos. I hate to say it, but since I'm such a correct type of guy I rarely ever make any mistakes when typing. At least when typing in English. It's a foreign language to me after all. And even if I make a mistake I usually correct it before sending a message, making a post or something like that. That's why there aren't as many "funny" typos by me. Actually... I think there's none. I think I remember one but I'd have to dig very deep in my Skype chat history to find that...

Typos are my life, I just usually correct them very quickly.

It's especially bad if I'm typing in French and I forget an accent or something - I just stare at it like: ALL OF MY YEARS OF TRAINING, AND I LET THIS HAPPEN. ; ~ ;

Typos are one of my specialties....in doing. Sometimes the typing is so fast, I do not realize what happened. This occurs a lot in messaging, where options to edit after [Enter] is not an option. Spell check does not find words spelled correctly, yet are not the correct spelling for the appropriate word. Typing this so fast, already had five miss-typed words. In the olden days, typos created the liquid paper industry.

I program auto correct macros in AHK to correct my typos because they annoy me THAT much!

The auto-correct feature on my (old) phone was attrocious! It certainly tried to intelligently guess the correct word, but honestly there's more intelligence in a pea on a termite mound. Plus it had a no swearing policy and words like "ship", "ducking" and "brassard" appeared in their place. The wife and I nicknamed it "Jerry" (don't know why); if ever we made typos, which were quite often, we would usually laugh and say, "Go to bed, Jerry!" At least with my new phone it actually acts like an auto-corrector.

I quite a lot of the time make typos, but I always correct them shortly after.
As for seeing them, as long as I know what it means, I don't mind.

Haha yea! That's exactly why I am making my own personalized typo correction program. I basically type in shorthand and the sentences fix/type themselves. Real handy. Of course I'm always making new typos on a daily basis so it's a on-going (but fun) process. :D

Ahaha, I actually love my new phone's auto-correct. It made for some pretty amazing "typos" actually. It would always "correct" XD to Dad and it even "corrected" poor Xyphien's name to Xylophone once. I guess my phone knows I'm a musician. Dad

Eh, Typos don't bug me that much. I personally try to avoid them, but I make 'em, I make 'em. Nobody will die. Nobody will burst into flames. The Zombie Apocalypse won't won't start. C:

For other peple, I don't care about typos! If you make one, so what? Everyone's human; everyone makes mitsakes too!

My latest one was when rewriting the novella for Otherworld. Someone told Anna to sit down. Except there was an extra H in there. For the life of me, even when I read it several times over, couldn't see anything wrong, except for the word "sit". Haha!
