I noticed that in MV, if you have a bgs enabled in one map, when transferring to another map, for example, a house, the bgs from the previous map will continue to play in the house map even if the bgs option in the map's setting is not enabled. With my plugin, I check if the map's settings for bgs is empty and if it is the plugin will stop the bgs from continuing in the next map. If you don't want this behaviour for some maps then you can do a simple plugin command on the transfer into the map to allow the default behaviour of MV to continue, and a simple plugin command on the way back out the map to allow the plugin to continue working it's magic.


I'm pretty much finished this plugin, but I want to tweak it a little bit more and see what peoples thoughts are about it first.

I wonder if you're even able to make a script to remove any transition sound and make the song used before, during and after a transition of battle. Even keep the song played after enemy's defeat.

What I mean, is something we see in Final Fantasy 7 during your first mission when the BGM keeps playing, even in battles. Or like in Chrono Trigger when there's no transition sound, only the Battle BGM and it still plays during victory scene until you returned into the map.

I'm glad you like this idea @Rise Evil, I know while developing Sock Quest the river bgs is on the main town map and I found it annoying to have to set each house map's bgs setting to enabled and "None" this is why I made the plugin to save time on setting the map bgs.
I love the idea you have for the bgm or bgs playing through battles as well, I will look into doing this, thanks for the suggestion. :D

Already worked on it, here is the latest update for my plugin. Smooth bgm all the way through battles. You can decide what you want to play and what you want to stop with a simple plugin command before the battle starts. You can turn off Battle start sound & victory sound, if you decide to use the bgm feature it will remove batttle bgm and replace it with the current maps bgm. Just a few more tweaks, a bit more bug testing and that will be another plugin under my belt :D . Expect all plugins to be released for the resource pack by christmas.

Yup, this plugin was really fun making, and I actually really enjoy it features. I'm still polishing it up, but it's 100% functional with no known bugs. I've also changed the name to BG Audio Control. I'm currently working on a Custom Weather plugin, where you can choose to add bitmaps for the current weather effects or change the default color. I also plan on adding 3 extra weather slots so you can have more than the default 3. That will be for another topic when I have some video to show off.

Update: I decided to release it as a beta for now, until I work out the kinks and optimize the current code. You can download here, and report all bugs(if any) here in this topic.
