I'm pretty sure half the reason any of us are here is gam mak. Sadly, while the site's framework for submitting them is excellent, it's commonly easy to miss, but do not fear, for I, the great Biz! Have had an idea.
Or several, as it were! Firstly, we could make a seperate place for games outside of resources. When people think resources, they think 'tools to gam mak' not 'gam play'.
We could also have a shared subforum for game deployment and marketing. Much as it may become a contest, that's fine, because that's how everywhere does it. They have a games subforum, and you're all in one big cluster, this is ideal because games without a lot going for them quickly get dismissed, while games with promise, visually or whatever, are typically more payed attention to, this in turn, drives people to stand out, which means others who want recognition have to also compete against the standouts, it's economics 101, friendly competition is good for everybody.
I also think, rather than segregating games in subforums by each engine, have them all in one, and utilize tags to denote their engine. This not only makes it so no engine is unfavored, thus giving each game and engine a more sustained shelf-life, but it also increases the competitive nature of said forums.
It also means that via lack of exclusive catering, RPGmakerMV.co won't have a shelf life the same way VX.net did. It's best we get on this now, rather than waiting for MV to become grey matter.
