    [Scripting]Graphics.isVideoPlaying Query

I don't! I know I should, huh? :) I just use the console for now, as limited as it is....But....

Plugify is the PERFECT word! Edit: It's done. Just a few tweaks. And then @eivl can plugify all he likes! ;)

    [Scripting]Graphics.isVideoPlaying Query

I seem to recall that too. Now where is it?! But I've been digging into the depths of Graphics, doing that well-oiled action of tracing what everything does, when, where and where it leads, right?Px I may be onto something...Mabye!

    Gaming Logo

Of course I will. Or at least the part for the pre-title screen movie.

    [Scripting]Graphics.isVideoPlaying Query

Of course! I think I did put that, but as I said most of that was from memory. onVideoEnd will still output 0 opacity (immediately after "Video is playing") and the BGM will still play partway through the video. No pause. That's kinda why I don't think it's actually registering as EOF or that...

Does grounding in reality make for a relateable story?

Agreed. His own experiences during WWI, and his son's during WWII, were crucial influences on the book, but Tolkien insisted that there was no allegory of any kind. He left that up to his readers to decide. Tolkien was inspired largely by his academic fields: philology and Germanic literature...

    Banner Revote

I've been thinking about this for a while. Eventually voted #2 because I think it's more dynamic and better suited to this forum.

@David FoxFire Trust me, I've had my fair share of that. When I started though, there was really very little in the way of competition and indie game developers were pretty much hobbyists programming from their bedrooms. The first "commercial" game I ever produced was on the ZX Spectrum 48K - a...

I've heard a lot about Patreon lately. Seems like quite a number of people I know are jumping on this particular wagon. Might look into it, but I'm still guarded about things like this. I've given to crowdfunding before and will again because I've always felt that artists deserve to be paid for...

    Screenshot Thread: Ready and Deady!

There are some amazing looking game shots here. Gonna watch development for sure. I have some screenies somewhere online, but none actually in-game yet. The storyline hasn't even started yet, let alone gameplay! Haha!

    Christmas Contest!

It's Christmas already? :I I've just gotten over Halloween! I won't be able to participate (unfortunately) because of my own projects and work schedule, but I will look forward to playing, reviewing and rating as and when I can. That's right. Although you can't copyright an idea, making a game...

    [Scripting]Graphics.isVideoPlaying Query

Um...I can't recall the exact format I used - deleted the .js file, as it was just experimenting - but it was basically on the lines of this (from memory): var _Scene_Title_playTitleMusic = Scene_Title.prototype.playTitleMusic; Scene_Title.prototype.playTitleMusic = function() {...

    Where'd you hear about us?

Some people are funny like that. If RPG Maker Web didn't advertise like everywhere, we'd still be using 2K3 (and discover them by accident eventually)!

Don't know about that! We shall see! ;)

    Where'd you hear about us?

It was Twitter. In response to a retweet of one of my own tweets; we conversed and...well, here I am. (My plugins aren't going to be "released" just yet, as they're intended to be game-exclusive for the moment.)

    [Scripting]Graphics.isVideoPlaying Query

Makes sense. Because obviously there's no video at initialization until it's started loading. And that part is fine after starting: isVideoPlaying returns true. You'd think so, but it doesn't seem to. At least not in the "expected" way. You'd expect that _onVideoEnd would return true if the...

    [Scripting]Graphics.isVideoPlaying Query

I've been playing around with movies/videos in RMMV and started poking around in Graphics. Now you'd think that logically this (as an example) would work: Graphics.playVideo('movie'); if (Graphics.isVideoPlaying) { <Do something> } else { <Do something else> } However, while it does...

    Building the perfect story

Long term memory is perfect! ;) So....Hmm...Yep!! :D In its language it'd be called Re'eli Pona'akaer Tika'ahna (Saga of the Horse Warriors). Character development is key to the story. Characters, especially the main (anti)heroes need to be believable so you become emotionally attached to them...

    Music Problems

As I understand it, the playtesting window is essentially a browser since it simulates a web page. So logically it "preloads" the music beforehand, causing lag. Tested Tryggr on a website; there is a slight delay with the music but not as much, it seems, as when playtesting. Having the...

    Music Problems

Have you tried putting both OGG and M4A formats in your BGM folder (or just the M4A)? If it's anything like movies, Windows MV will not play MP4 movies, but will WEBM within MV.
