    Script / Plugin Requests

You did indeed. I must have overlooked it! <0_0> I wrote mine a few days ago with the project Tryggr in mind and the intentions of writing chapter name, map name, and a few other details, into the saved file boxes (not done yet). Plus, it was a bit of practice since it's been a long time...

    Script / Plugin Requests

If this is what you're talking about, then I have a plugin (more like a plugin-let really). You can show or hide the game title from in the Plugin Manager options at your leisure. Of course you can just turn it off to disable it, or not use it at all, but I'm planning on adding more options...

(Closed)[Commissions] LTN Graphics & Website Shop

Also good to know. I'm sure there are things I can do for exchange for people as well (not sure what yet).

Do You Have A Story Ready?

Ditto. Too bad they've not invented some kind of technology to download all these story ideas in movie format and then you just work from there. (I think they're getting close to that though!). I actually have something only partly written for an MV game. It happened quite by accident as I was...

All fair prices. And good to know. I'll definitely be able to utilize your skills at some point (as I start "expanding" as an indie dev).

    What Inspires Your Story?

Couldn't agree more. It can be a good "healer" to be able to draw from experience and make something from it - a game, novel or even a movie. I'm intrigued by this game. While I don't fear death, I think I can certainly relate. I've had three near-death experiences in my life, which I guess...

    Windows Transparency is messed up

Thanks! Might take a while between working, (re)learning and Otherworld. No doubt it'll all come back to me. I think. I hope! ;)

    Windows Transparency is messed up

Of course it is, but with mine I added (and am adding) a few other options as well. By default, you're stuck with "Window" as the default windowskin, so what if someone wanted to change it, but (for whatever reason) still keep the default? Or change the windowskin in-game. No doubt that's been...

    Windows Transparency is messed up

There was a similar problem in RMVXA. I wrote a "patch" to fix it and then noticed the same thing in RMMV. I actually did do a fix for this one too, but it seems you beat me to posting online somewhere. ;) (It sucks sometimes when you work nights. No time except to sleep. LOL)

    Three Plugins needed.

I made one that shows a movie before the title screen. Might work on one for logos as well (as and when I've the time), unless of course someone else does it before me. ;)

    Completed Ace MV Icons

I like these a lot! I was too. And I was surprised at how "simplistic" they are compared to other RMs, but I like them. They're like this probably to save on resource load speeds for the different platforms, notably portables with no or limited Wi-Fi. No doubt there will be other icons made at...

    What Inspires Your Story?

Originality is the hardest part of it. Not everyone can think so far out of the box that they completely turn it on its head. But variations on a theme can equally make a game, story, etc. good. In the end, we all learn from one another and are influenced by others' styles, at least maybe until...

    MV Memory Leak

I've been having the same laggy problem - just for a few seconds each time - while testing both in MV and localhost. But then today I have a lot of memory-hungry programs open. Yesterday, however, when it was just MV open, playtesting did result in momentary lags before it loads. If you have the...

    On RM Horror Games

You definitely have to play it. Apparently there are multiple endings. That gave me some chills, like cold cat's paws running up and down my spine! Haha! I agree, some of those dark ambient sounds are good. And you put them in a horror/thriller environment, it'll certainly add to that tension.

    On RM Horror Games

To me, horror isn't just about the scares or the gore. It has to be immersive, yes, and have moments where the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Very few horror games actually make me jump, though with a few I've played my heart has definitely beat faster. The background score is equally...

    What Inspires Your Story?

I have a number of major influences, games wise, so I can't really pinpoint one. My main genre influence, however, is horror/paranormal because of my background. I'm a huge Stephen King fan (have been for as long as I can remember!) and was a parapsychologist awhile back. A lot of my theories...

I actually feel like a Javascript noob all over again. I learned it years ago, never used it for ages, and have to relearn it in relation to how it's structured in RMMV. It'll slowly come back, I'm sure! Like a trickle probably.

    Building the perfect story

Oh, man! I hear your pain! I wrote a novel years back that would have been perfect for an RMMV game! Developed an entire mythos, language and dialects, Tolkien- or Harry Potter-esque world...ALL of it! After relocating several times, most of the material I'd spent two years developing was lost!

I'm sticking with VXA and my project there right now, but will explore MV to make a mini project as well, mainly just to get used to it.

    Building the perfect story

That's some good, solid, sound advice. I use a similar method when writing (and more recently game plots). Plot outlines should be basic : Beginning, middle and end, as well as chapters and sub-chapters for things like ideas or sub-quests. I've found it's easier to break things down into this...
