I don't have any issues with speed or re-directs, I use chrome and sometimes firefox depends on what I'm doing and still have no issues with speed. same thing on my mobile, I am having no issues with speed.

I've never tried it but if sounds like they will conflict with each other as they both rewrite the defualt battle system. It never hurts to try it out for yourself.
